County Council meeting - 27 June 2019

Cumbria County Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Cumbria County Council,

Minute no 41 (Speeches) reports the journey Councillor Dew took from writing angry letters about the Appleby Horse Fair to all and sundry to his eventual bonding with the Gypsy King in a Costa in Kendal. Reading this took me on an emotional rollercoaster, helped by the fantastic amount of detail. This really could form the basis of a best selling book.

However, there is an important detail missing. The minute refers to a meeting between Cllr Dew and the Gypsy King over a coffee at a branch of Costa in Kendal. I do not wish to know what sort of coffee they had (that would be ridiculous!) but can the Council confirm please whether they went to the Costa Branch in Strickland Gate or was it the branch in the Morrisons ?

Yours faithfully,

Mr A Harwood
