Counselling for students
Dear University of Gloucestershire,
Under the Freedom of Information Act, please could you provide me with the number of students who have accessed counselling services provided by the university for each of the past three academic years (2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17).
If possible, please provide a breakdown by the type of issue the students are seeking help for.

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your request for information
received on 08 November 2017.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), we
anticipate to respond to your request for information within 20 working
days, subject to the information not being exempt or containing a
reference to a third party.
For your information, the Act defines a number of exemptions that may

Under the Freedom of Information Act, please could you provide me with the
number of students who have accessed counselling services provided by the
university for each of the past three academic years (2014/15, 2015/16 and
2016/17).
If possible, please provide a breakdown by the type of issue the students
are seeking help for.
Having consulted with colleagues I can confirm that the number of students
seeking support from the counselling service for the past three academic
years were:
2014-15 2015-16 2016-17
384 405 476
The type of issue are varied but the top three issues for the past three
years (and for many years prior to that are)
1. Anxiety
2. Depression, Anger and Mood Changes
3. Relationships
