Councillors oath of office
Dear Exeter City Council,
Please could you supply me with full details of the "Oath of Office" as sworn by Councillors that they are duty bound to adhere to in their position of service to the residents of Exeter, their constituents.
If no Oath of Office is sworn, by which rules of service to their Constituents must they adhere to in their duties & may I have full details of those ?

Exeter City Councillors sign the following when they are first elected.
They have to do this before they can call themselves a Councillor and
failure to do so would declare their election null and void. This
declaration is witnessed by the Returning Officer.
DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
I, (name of councillor)
having been elected to the office of member of Exeter City Council declare
that I take that office upon myself, and will duly and faithfully fulfil
the duties of it according to the best of my judgement and ability.
I undertake to observe the code as to the conduct which is expected of
members of Exeter City Council.
