The Council has published this information in its Statement of Accounts (which is recorded in our publication scheme) this is available from our website on the following link

Hence the Council will exempt the supply of this information as it is information accessible by other means, under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
To assist you with your enquiry the element of the accounts that could be relevant is on page 78 - The Collection fund.
Where the Council Tax was sent is highlighted in Note 4 to the Collection Fund on page 81.
The breakdown of how the Council spent its element of the Council Tax in 2010/11 starts on page 14.
This highlights that in total the Council spent £108,460,000 of which £6,707,000 came from Council Tax.

You may, if dissatisfied with the treatment of your request, ask the council to conduct a review of its decision under the council's complaints procedure. The review will be carried out by someone who has not been involved in dealing with your request for information. Please e-mail or write if you would like a review.
