Council tax reminders

Christian Barnett

Dear Worcester City Council,

Please could you tell me if any of Worcester City Council’s councillors had to be sent a council tax reminder for the financial year:
2017/18
2018/19

If you could tell me which councillors were sent reminders, how many reminders they were sent and when the reminders were sent.

If you cannot tell me the name of the councillor, can you tell me how many councillors were sent reminders in each financial year and how many reminders were sent to individual councillors (if more than one) and when those reminders were sent.

Could you also tell me if the council had to take any further action (ie take the councillor to court) with any councillor in either of the two financial years and what the cost of taking the matter of late council payment was to the council.

Yours faithfully,

Christian Barnett

Strategy, Worcester City Council

Good afternoon

I am writing in response to a Freedom of Information request that you
submitted to Worcester City Council via the What Do They Know website. It
has recently come to the attention of the Council that a number of email
requests submitted to us have not been received.

This issue has been investigated and rectified. However we are now aware
that a number of historic requests on What Do They Know have unfortunately
gone unanswered due to this issue.

Please accept our sincerest apologies that we have not responded to your
request, and for the significant period of time that has elapsed between
you submitting the request and us becoming aware of this problem. We
understand that the information you requested may no longer be of value to
you, however should you still wish to request this information or submit a
different request, you can do so using our webform which is available via
