Council Tax funds
Dear East Riding of Yorkshire Council,
After recently announcing that ERYC have brought in £3.2 million more in council tax during the first three months of this year (2019) than the previous year (2018) I would like to request information on:
1. Can you confirm how this was gained? ie through council tax increases)
a. Why was council tax increased?
2. What is the profit going to be spent on?
a. If it is going to be put back into the community of the ERYC then where and who decides on
this?
b. If it is not going to be put back into improving the area or such, what will the money be put
towards?
Yours faithfully,
Miss J Curds
