Dear Birmingham City Council,
Thank you for the information.
Kindly clarify that these are all private properties; and not dwellings.
Yours sincerely,
George Tsigarides
445672 total properties in Birmingham, 65910 council properties therefore
there are 379762 non-council owned properties in Birmingham.
This figure is both private properties and housing associations. We don't
have an indicator for housing associations so we cannot split it up.

Dear Birmingham City Council,
It appears our request for clarification was not clear enough.
We understand that there are different classifications regarding which buildings are charged for Council Tax.
We further understand that dwellings are taxed for Council Tax.
We requested confirmation on how many private properties, i.e. non dwellings, were charged with Council Tax.
Or are you confirming that private properties are also dwellings.
Yours sincerely,
George Tsigarides
Please note all domestic properties are charged council tax irrespective
of whether they are privately owned or not. We do not have any
non-dwellings that are charged council tax.
Any land/car parking spaces/commercial properties will be subject to
non-domestic rates.

Dear Birmingham City Council,
So, to be clear.
You treat private property, as a dwelling.
Yours sincerely,
George Tsigarides
That is correct.
