Under the terms of the legislation, we have an obligation to respond to
your request within 20 working days from the day after your request was
received. We will therefore aim to respond to your request by 12/10/2023. 

Please note from 1st April 2023 Cumberland Council replaced Cumbria County
Council, Allerdale Borough Council, Copeland Borough Council and Carlisle
City Council. The response to this request will relate to information held
by all the legacy authorities.

Please be aware that, in some circumstances, a fee may be payable for the
retrieval, collation and provision of the information you have requested.
If this is the case, a fees notice will be issued, which would need to be
paid in order to progress your request.

3. Is your exemption policy inclusive of care leavers who move into your
local authority, but the local authority which holds corporate parenting
responsibility for them is elsewhere? [Please respond with either "Yes" or
"No."] Yes

4. Is your exemption policy inclusive of care leavers who you are the
corporate parent for but live outside your local authority? [Please
respond with either "Yes" or "No."] No

5. Is this exemption policy included in your local offer for care leavers
document? If so, please provide a link to the relevant document. No

6. Is this exemption advertised on your website? [Please respond with
either "Yes" or "No."] Yes, the discount is advertised on the Council Tax
pages of the legacy districts and is included in the Care Leaver offer on
the Health and Social Care web pages.
