Council tax arrears

The request was successful.

Dear Torridge District Council,

I am making a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

Please can you detail all Council Tax debt currently outstanding
over all financial years and break down by current enforcement
stage (ie. Bailiff, Tracing, Pre Write Off).

How much debt has been written off in each of the the last 20
years?

Has the council [in the last 20 years]ever committed
maladministration when trying to recover alleged council tax debt?

If yes, how much of that debt has been written off due to
maladministration in each year?

Does the council have a published or unpublished Council Tax
recovery policy? Yes or no; If no then why please explain why not?

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Morris

FOI, Torridge District Council
