The expenditure was all made from the Democratic Services department at
the Council. 

 

In relation to Councillors, the Council appoints political assistants to
political groups who qualify in accordance with the specific legal
requirements in terms of the number of seats they return at local
elections.  Currently, that means that York has 2 political assistants.
