Council redundancy figures
Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
Can I have information on the following for the years 2010 to the most recent available data, broken down by year?
1. How many employees, including school staff, have taken voluntary redundancy or early retirement?
2. What has been the total cost to the council of these voluntary retirements and early redundancies?
3. How many of these staff have been re-employed by the council since departing, whether on a temporary, part-time or full-time capacity?
4. How many of these staff have been re-employed on an
a) full-time basis
b) part-time basis
c) a temporary basis
d) as agency staff
5. How many staff roles made vacant through voluntary redundancy were later filled with agency staff?
Yours faithfully,
Ed Barnes
