Dear Oxford City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Oxford City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Council Garage Rental Requests Outstanding 05/10/2021'.

I made a request for information on the outstanding requests for Council garages. The information I requested was the garage location and the date of the request. However, I was given the garage location and the number of outstanding requests.

Please can you therefore provide me with the information I requested, namely the date each request was made.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Alex Andrews

Freedom Of Information, Oxford City Council

Dear Alex Andrews

Oxford City Council Freedom of Information reference: 10565

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your email below. I have been asked to respond to you regarding your request for a review of the Council's handling of your Freedom of Information request regarding garage rentals.

I can see that you originally sent in your request on 9 November 2021 and we provided an answer on 29 November 2021 with details of garage locations and the number of requests.

Having reviewed this response, I note that we should have provided you with an explanation in our response as to why we did not provide dates of requests for specific garages. This is because this information could potentially be used to identify individuals and as such is personal data which is exempt from disclosure under s40 (personal data) of the Freedom of Information Act and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please accept my apologies for this not having been clarified to you previously.

This concludes my Internal Review of your Freedom of Information case. If you remain dissatisfied, you may ask the Information Commissioner to intervene on your behalf. You can do this by writing to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely

Information Governance Officer
