Council Funding on Homelessness

We're waiting for Sophie Sole to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,

I would like to request information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000)

I would like to request access to the data you hold on the following information:
1. How many times has the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) been opened to the homeless community between 2012 and the most present date on a year by year basis?

2. How much of the council’s budget is spent on tackling homelessness, including the breakdown of costs (e.g. how much spent on improving existing homeless overnight services, new solutions to tackle homelessness, homeless prevention measures, staff salaries, relocation costs, accommodation costs) on a year on year basis from 2012 to the most present date?

3. The number of instances and locations of the removal of public facilities such as public toilets, park benches, restriction of access to public space between 2012 and the present date on a year by year basis.

I would be interested in any information held by your organisation regarding my request. I would like to receive the information in electronic format in an excel spreadsheet, if possible, or hard copy if necessary. I am also willing to inspect the documents on site.

If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the Act. I will also expect you to release all non-exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to charge excessive fees.

Please confirm in writing that you have received this request. I look forward to your response within 20 working days, as outlined by the statute.

Yours faithfully,

Sophie Sole

Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Brighton and Hove City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Council Funding on Homelessness'.

I submitted my Freedom of Information Request on the 25th February and I am yet to have a response. I have reminded Brighton and Hove City Council on more than one occasion that they are now in breach of the law, however they simply apologised and said they will remind the team responsible. I am dissatisfied with their response as they have neither refused nor accepted my request so I have been unable to take it further should it be declined.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Sophie Sole
