Dear Stoke on Trent City Council,

I'd like to make a request under the Freedom of Information act for all transactions over £500 from December 2018 to Current. As a minimum, please make sure to include the date, value and recipient of each transaction.

If it would help, I am specifically looking for payments to suppliers who provide a service in Health and Social Care. This would include all suppliers falling under the categories :-

1. Payments to suppliers who provide fostering and adoption services to the Council
2. Payments to suppliers who provide care services to the council. This would include suppliers who provide care under each of below -
a. Children's Residential/ Nursing Care Providers
b. Adult Residential/ Nursing Care Providers
c. Elderly Residential/ Nursing Care Providers
d. Domiciliary Care Home Providers
e. Supported Living Care Home Providers
f. Care at Home Providers
g. Providers who carry out Homeless Services
3. Payments to suppliers who provide Special Education Services

In particular I am looking for itemized transactions for suppliers from December 2018 to Current - preferably in CSV format. I look forward to the information at the earliest.

Dear FOI,

Thank you for your response, however, we had already analysed the link you have sent over and found that whilst earlier in 2018, the Council conducted on average ~200 Fostering transactions, since Dec 2018, that number has dropped to ~20. This indicates missing data or some other reason perhaps, unbeknownst to us. Hence, we request the Council to please check with the relevant department who handles these figures and revert with the necessary data - preferably in CSV format.

Thank you for your correspondence which was received on 22/11/19
expressing your dissatisfaction at our initial response to your Freedom of
Information request. This was requesting details about payments over £500
from Dec 2018 to the current date, to suppliers who provide health and
social care services to the local authority.

 

In line with the Information Commissioner’s guidance within the Section 45
of the Code of Practice, the Council will process your correspondence as
an Internal Review. The City Council aims to deal with these quickly and
where possible within 20 working days, starting from the day after the
receipt of your request for an internal review.  In complex cases this may
take up to 40 working days but please be assured that it will conduct a
review and you will receive a response.
