Council employees attending courses operated by The Common Purpose.

James Plant made this Freedom of Information request to Brighton and Hove City Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,

In a previous request made to you, I asked for details of the employees who had attended courses, or training, operated by The Common Purpose. You declined to provide this information citing the Data Protection Act.

The information you did supply revealed that Brighton and Hove City Council had enrolled a number of people on training, or courses, operated by The Common Purpose. These were paid for by the council and people attended in their capacity as council employees.

In view of the fact that these courses, training etc, were paid from public funds. That people attended were there as council employees, I request the following information:

1) Invoices for courses, or training for the last 6 years, showing payments made in respect of these.

2) Names and job titles of people who attended either courses, or training, by The Common Purpose, or one of the associated concerns.

3) Supply the course syllabuses, or similar.

4) Supply the names and job titles of all people in your organisation who are graduates of The Common Purpose.

Yours faithfully,

James Plant
