I refer to your recent request for information about Council electricity
sources. The information you requested is as follows:

1. Our current electricity tariff is purchased under the Crown
Commercial Services Framework to allow us to buy energy at lower than
average rates. CCS determines our supplier, who is EDF. EFDC currently
specifies ‘Clean Renewable 100%’ tariff for our electricity, from EDF.

This covers all the electricity that the Council is directly
responsible for.

3. The Council does not buy directly, however our Council Offices
have a 48 kWp solar PV array producing approximately 44,000 kWh per annum,
and our Limes Centre has a 2.2 kWp solar PV array producing
approximately 1,900 kWh per annum – Estimated annual generation taken from
MCS certificates.

Combined, this total generation accounts for approximately 1% of
EFDC’s directly controlled electricity usage.

 1a. How many staff does the Council directly employ (excluding
contractors or subcontractors, and excluding teachers), that work directly
for the Council as opposed to a school, leisure centres or other venture?

Full Time Equivalent (FTE)) on implementing the Climate Action Plan or
other climate change projects? Please provide a list of all the roles.
Please exclude waste management staff unless they are specifically working
