Please state the mean average cost of a) building and b) purchasing new
council housing for either a) Social Rent or b) Affordable Rent in each of
the last three years.

Please provide a breakdown by the number of bedrooms in each case.
 
We are dealing with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
and we aim to send a response by 16 February 2021 (which is 20 working
days beginning on the first working day after the date we received your
request).

Thank you for your reply.

You have provided build costs for new affordable housing. However that was only on epart of my question.

I have two questions:

(1) Please can you confirm wheher these were all Affordable Rent properties? If not, please can you provide build costs for Social Rent and Affordable Rent separately, as requested in my question.

(2) Please provide acquisition costs for homes purchased during this period. In a recent FOI answer, you have stated that there were:

72 Affordable Rental properties: 16x 1 bed 2 person, 44x 2 bed 4 person, 4x 3 bed 5 person, 8 x 3 bed 6 person as S106 homes on new build developments (Sept 2018); and

1 Affordable Rental: 1 bed 2 person unit (May 2018) and 1 Affordable Rental: 2 bed 4 person unit (July 2019) as other market properties.
