Costs of Faversham creekside footpath

We're waiting for Matty Woodhams to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Kent County Council

What is the precise sum or sums of money hitherto spent or authorised by
Kent County County in pursuance of the construction of a public footpath along the frontages of Faversham Reach and Waterside Close Faversham.

Precisely what sums of money were donated to individuals and for
what purposes?

Precisely what sums of money were donated to
businesses/organisations and for what purposes?

Who are these organisations and individuals?

Have any sums of money been received from and/or given to the
Faversham Municipal Charities since 2010?

What sums of money have been spent so far and to whom?

What is the CURRENT estimated final cost, including direct and legal costs and indirect costs that will be spent if the footpath is eventually created. When was this estimate made and when will it next be reviewed and upodated.

Yours faithfully,

Matt Woodhams

Kent County Council

Dear Mr Woodhams

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000, relating to Faversham Creek and Public
Footpath ZF5 at Faversham. I am pleased to provide the response below:

What is the precise sum or sums of money hitherto spent or authorised by
Kent County Council in pursuance of the construction of a public footpath
along the frontages of Faversham Reach and Waterside Close Faversham?
£7406 has been spent through a commission with the County Council’s
engineering partner, Amey, on feasibility work for the provision of creek
side access. This is to enable an informed decision to be reached on the
feasibility of resolving the longstanding obstruction of Public Footpath
ZF5 at Faversham Reach by diverting the footpath along the creek side.

Precisely what sums of money were donated to individuals and for what
purposes? No sums of money have been donated to individuals by the County
Council in respect of this matter.

Precisely what sums of money were donated to businesses/organisations and
for what purposes? Who are these organisations and individuals? No sums of
money have been donated to any businesses or organisations by the County
Council.

Have any sums of money been received from and/or given to the Faversham
Municipal Charities since 2010? No sums of money have been received from
or given to the Faversham Municipal Charities.

Faversham Municipal Charities have set aside £22k for the provision of
creek- side access.

What sums of money have been spent so far and to whom? That information is
provided in answer to your first question.

What is the CURRENT estimated final cost, including direct and legal costs
and indirect costs that will be spent if the footpath is eventually
created.  When was this estimate made and when will it next be reviewed
and updated? The County Council does not hold this information. The
feasibility work is to, in part, establish the potential costs.

If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied
with legislation, please ask for a review by following our complaints
process; details can be found at this link
[1]http://www.kent.gov.uk/about-the-council...
on our website. Please quote reference FOI/15/1359.

If you still remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you can
appeal to the Information Commissioner, who oversees compliance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. Details of what you need to do, should
you wish to pursue this course of action, are available from the
Information Commissioner’s website [2]http://www.ico.org.uk/concerns.

Yours sincerely
