Dear Mr Tibilder,

In terms of fundraising for the diversity mural, we were very pleased with
and grateful for the donations that were made by the local and the school
community in order to enable the project to happen. This was a project
conceived, led and completed by our year 11 students and the school was
pleased to be able to support them in bringing it to life. We believe that
the mural truly embraces and represents what Cheney school stands for.
The spend breakdown is as follows:
£271 – plaque
£722.53 – mural materials
£82 – catering for the opening with the mayor
£450 – scaffolding
£250 – cover for Cheney staff to help the Year 11 students designing and
completing the mural
We have some money left over from the fundraising and we are actively
looking at how we can use the remaining funds for similar projects to
further celebrate the diversity in our school community.
Mr Moreton, Head of Cheney School, would be very happy to meet with you to
discuss this project and the work the school does more generally in this
regard.
Best wishes,
Vicky

This is rather interesting, as the school crowdfunded £3175.00 (with a goal of £5000) to fund this mural. (After just giving costs, I estimate this to be around £3090).
Despite the high original target, the school only spent just over £1775 on the mural.
