I request the following information with respect to costs in relation to unauthorised encampments:

1 Can you provide a total figure for the total of all costs to the Local Authority in relation to unauthorised encampments for the financial year 2016/17, with a breakdown for each quarter if available?
2 Can you provide a total figure for the total of all costs to the Local Authority in relation to unauthorised encampments for the financial year 2015/16, with a breakdown for each quarter if available?
3 Can you provide a total figure for the total of all costs to the Local Authority in relation to unauthorised encampments for the financial year 2014/15, with a breakdown for each quarter if available?
4 For each of these financial years, can you provide a breakdown for the costs, and the department responsible, for the following services:
Legal and enforcement costs
Environmental service provision and clean up
Welfare assessments and site management
Education provision
5 For each of these financial years, can you provide a breakdown for how much of these costs were borne by the Gypsy and Traveller services team?

All the information requested should be available from the last FOI request re Travellers. I sent you the Traveller costs but couldn't give you the legal costs or the clear up costs but hopefully they forwarded these details to you.
The only difference is in
Q4. For the Welfare assessments and site management Education provision there is no extra cost and is included in the Traveller costs as previously provided.
Q For each of these financial years, can you provide a breakdown for how much of these costs were borne by the Gypsy and Traveller services team? Again these are included in the previously sent Traveller costs.
Hope you can help Ben as if not I will have to forward the different requests to Legal & Street Scene and there may well be a delay.

*Please note the court fees were increased in 2016/17.
4       For each of these financial years, can you provide a breakdown for
the costs, and the department responsible, for the following services:
Legal and enforcement costs
Environmental service provision and clean up Welfare assessments and site
management Education provision
We do not incur legal bills as the legal work is always done in house from
within existing resources.
For the Welfare assessments and site management Education provision there
is no extra cost and is included in the Traveller costs as previously
provided.
2016/17 – Clean-up costs £20,911, Target Hardening £10,672.
2015/16 – Clean-up costs £10,650, Target hardening £5,200.
2014/15 – Breakdown not available.
5       For each of these financial years, can you provide a breakdown for
how much of these costs were borne by the Gypsy and Traveller services
team?
The cost of providing the Travellers service that deals with unauthorised
encampments is £40,000 for each year, this includes wages, vehicles,
phones.
