Dear Oxfordshire County Council,
Please provide total & breakdown costs for the traffic monitoring equipment, signage, barriers and any other related costs, on the following roads in Jericho and Walton Manor, relating to the road closure of Walton Street:

Traffic monitoring camera: Kingston Road
Tarmac-level traffic monitoring cables/'tubes': St Margaret's Road, Farndon Road, Leckford Road, St Bernard's Road, Observatory Street, Little Clarendon Street, Walton Street (off Little Clarendon Street corner), Richmond Road, and Beaumont St (just after the junction to Wellington Square towards Botley).
All signage and barriers relating to these traffic monitoring equipments in the same streets above

Please also provide the dates that these were installed and taken down (they were first noticed approximately on Thursday 23 January 2020 and some are still currently in place at time of submitting this FOI)

Thank you for your correspondence received on 05 February 2020 in which
you asked for the following information:

 

Please provide total & breakdown costs for the traffic monitoring
equipment, signage, barriers and any other related costs, on the following

The Council’s response:

o Traffic dates for installation and taking down were 23/01/2020 and
30/01/2020
o The cost for the traffic modelling was £1200 +vat
o The estimated "Signage / Barrier" costs is £20,573. This covers the
initial signage and barrier cost and maintenance for 6 months
o The total costs paid to date by the authority is £7,635
o This is broken down as follows as a summary with overheads included:

o Contractors Supervision                       £1107
o Daily Checks                                          £2540
o Civil Works (No Entry Signs)               £2160
o Installation, hire & audit                        £1828
