3) The total number of nominations received for the "data protection professional" award.

4) The number of nominees shortlisted for the award.

5) The total income generated from the conference by the ICO. Please include the total raised from attendees fees, sponsors and vendors that appeared in the market area.

Dear R Stark,

I write further to your 11 February 2019 email in which you submitted an
information request to the ICO via the What Do They Know website. We have
dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA)
and our response is below.

In your email you asked;
 
“Please provide the following information to me under the FOI Act.

Our response
 
I can confirm that we hold information within the scope of your request.
 I have responded to each element of your request below.
 
1) According to our records, the total cost of the Data Protection
Practitioners' Conference 2018 was £234,298.
 
2) We publish all the Commissioners expenses on our website at the

As this information is reasonably accessible to you via other means it is
exempt information under section 21 off the FOIA. We are therefore not
required to provide you with a copy of this information.
 
3) We received 122 nominations for the "data protection professional"
award”.
 
4) There were 8 nominees shortlisted for the award.
 
5) The total income generated by the ICO from the conference was £51,968.
This was received from ticket sales only. According to our records we did
not receive anything from additional sponsors or vendors.
 
This concludes our response to your request. I hope the information

Next steps
