Dear Ms Wilde

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding: Universal
Credit.

From our preliminary assessment it is clear we will not be able to answer
your FOI request without further clarification.

The City of Lincoln Council, who administer Universal Credit on behalf of
North Kesteven District Council, would like to know the following in
relation to QA:

“Can this please be clarified as to what they mean by monetary cost.  What
exactly would they want to be included within this?”

Once you have confirmed the above, we will be able to commence with
processing your request.  If we do not receive clarification from you
within three months your request will considered to have lapsed.

Under section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a public
authority need not comply with a request unless any further information
reasonably required to locate the information is supplied.

Yours faithfully

Corporate Information Team

Hello, yes, I'd be looking for any assessment of costs in terms of staffing, grants issued to third-sector organisations who support UC claimants (and funded by yourselves rather than the DWP), crisis loans or grants given to UC claimants, perhaps even loss of income due to UC claimants who are awaiting payments unable to pay Council Tax...just any assessment that you may have made about the overall knock-on cost to the authority of UC's introduction.

I hope this helps,
Claire Wilde

Good morning

Thank you for your FOI request.  In order for me to provide an accurate
response to question 1, I would be grateful if you could please confirm
what you would class within the ‘monetary cost’ – could you please clarify
whether this is ring-fenced to staffing costs only or other costs?  If
other, please specify.

Kind Regards
