Cost of waste disposal in Derbyshire and High Peak

The request was partially successful.

Dear Derbyshire County Council,

Please could you tell me the cost of recycling plastic waste in Derbyshire and in High Peak by month and in 2017, and of disposing of non-recyclable plastic waste to landfill, also by month and for 2017, in Derbyshire and High Peak.

Thank you

Yours faithfully,

Dear Ms Collins

Thank you for your request dated 2 March 2018.

Your enquiry was as follows:

Please could you tell me the cost of recycling  plastic waste in
Derbyshire and in High Peak by month and in 2017, and of disposing of
non-recyclable plastic waste to landfill, also by month and for 2017, in
Derbyshire and High Peak.

Please see the below Freedom of Information Act 2000 / Environmental
Information Regulations 2004 response:

The District and Borough Council are responsible for waste collection, you
may wish to contact them in this regard.

In respect to the second question of 'disposing of non-recyclable plastic
waste to landfill, also by month and for 2017, in Derbyshire and High
Peak'.  We can confirm that we don’t have a figure for plastics disposal
specifically, as waste plastic is mixed with all other wastes that we send
for final disposal, so there are not individual costs for plastic
disposal.

The Access to Information regulations i.e. FOI or EIR (Environmental
Information Regulations) is for and relates to any requests received by
the council that asks for actual information held by the council in a
recorded format at the time at which the request is received and, as
confirmed above, we do not hold this information.

I hope this now satisfies your request.

However should you require a review of the response you have received to
your FOI/EIR request, please follow the procedure as set out below:-

Stage 1:

If you wish to challenge the response, please send your comments to, and
