The request was refused by Brighton and Hove City Council.

I would like to receive information on the following points:

· The amount of money that was spent on refreshing the yellow and white line markings on Surrenden Road, Brighton between the timeframe of 1st April 2012 and 31st December 2013.

· The dates when the actual work was carried out – ie the maintenance schedule.

This information will take over the three days threshold to compile for the following reasons;

In an average month we can receive between 20 to 30 invoices. On each invoice there is a worksheet from the contractor showing around 10 sites. Some of the invoices have 2 worksheets therefore 20 sites.
The period that’s been requested is 21 months (April 2012 – Dec 2013) so we are roughly looking at over 600 invoices with a possibility of 12,000 sites
If we did identify work on Surrenden Rd then you need to look at the invoice and breakdown the quantities to work out how much was actually spent on that road.

It is therefore Exempt under S12 of the FOIA.
