I would like to make the following Freedom of Information request:

Please can you supply me with figures for the latest five academic years on the average cost of accommodation for undergraduates provided by the college.

Please provide figures for the academic years 2022/23, 2021/22, 2020/21, 2019/20, 2018/19.

Please provide the figures in terms of weekly rent. Please provide me with both the median and mean cost of accommodation, but if only one figure is available then please specify which you have used.

Please provide the data in the form of a table or spreadsheet.

Many thanks for this. Can you please clarify -- are the documents attached showing both the median and the mean? They list an 'average' figure as well as a 'median' -- am I right to think this former figure is the mean?

Dear St John's Bursary Manager,

The figures on the college's website for 2022/23 are in a different format to the original response you provided me with. In the letter you attached for historic years, the bands of accommodation you provided information for included A++, A+, A, A-, B, B-, C+, C, C-.

Yet in the information on the latest year on the college website in the Domestic Arrangements document, the bands are A, B, C, D, E, SPS, as well as flats.

This, combined with the fact there is no information on the number of rooms for each of these different bands, means I cannot calculate an average in the similar way to the historic years.

Can you please provide the information to rectify this? Ideally, provide information on the same bands in 2022/23 as the historic years, including room totals.
