Dear Greater London Authority,

URGENT _ FAO The officer conducting Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an immediate internal review of Greater London Authority's handling of my FOI request 'Cost of Sadiq Khan's tour of India and Pakistan'.

CIPFA standard subjective analysis of the appropriate cost centres with some post-hoc verification / cross checking should provide a straightforward answer to this FOI requirement.

Please review why the GLA has been unable to provide this within the initial statutory period.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Michael Neill

Mayor of London, Greater London Authority

Dear Mr Neill

Thank you for your email of 12 January 2018 in which you requested we
conduct an Internal Review of our late response.

We received your request on 8 December 2018 while the visit was underway.
The 20 working day deadline by which we were obliged to provide you with a
response was Wednesday 10 January 2018. We responded our response to you
on Monday 15 January 2018; the 23rd working day following the day you
request was received.

I apologise if this short delay inconvenienced you unduly. We received a
particularly high volume of requests over the Christmas - New Year period
and it occasionally took us longer than we would wish to answer some
requests and respond to emails. In the case of your request, our work was
also slightly hampered by the fact you had requested information about a
trip which was still underway at the time you submitted your request and
that the information you had requested had not yet been fully collated or
collected.

While I appreciate and thank you for your patience in this matter, I can
assure you we continue to work towards responding to all of our requests
as promptly as possible and the delay in this instance is simply due to
the volume of requests.

Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding, and I apologise
for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Yours sincerely

Ruth Phillips
Information Governance Officer
