Dear Ms Wright
Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. You asked:
Please provide a detailed list of expenses involved in the rebranding of
MK council to "Your MK"?
YourMK is a joint venture company between Mears plc and MK Council. It
was set up to manage regeneration in Milton Keynes over the next 15
years. It’s separate to both organisations and as such, costs for the
development of the YourMK brand are not held by MK Council.
I trust this answers your question but please contact me if you require
any further information. If you have a complaint about the handling of
your request then please contact me. I will arrange for an internal
review which will be considered as part of Stage 3 of the Council’s
complaints procedure. You also have a right of appeal to the Information
Commissioner at: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF (Telephone 01625 545 700)

Dear Evans, Kellie,
"YourMK is a joint venture company between Mears plc and MK Council. It
was set up to manage regeneration in Milton Keynes over the next 15
years. It’s separate to both organisations and as such, costs for the
development of the YourMK brand are not held by MK Council."
"Mears Plc was set up" - how and why was Mears PLC set up to manage the rebranding?
What do you mean by "Its seperate to both organisations"
please explain fully.
I asked for the expenses incurred by MK Council /the Tax payer in the rebranding programme.
As a partner with Mears plc, you must both hold this information.
You have not answered the question of cost's incurred by the rebranding.
Please provide me with the information I requested.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Wright

Dear Mrs Wright
The information you're looking for isn’t held by us as Your MK isn’t part of the council - it's a new and entirely separate company with its own financial accounts and management. We don’t hold records of Your MK's marketing spend. You might want to contact Your MK directly with your question.
Thank you
Kellie

Dear Evans, Kellie,
This makes no sense to me, the Council has a workforce to undertake tasks needed to maintain and regenerate, does it not?
Why and how has it been out sourced to a seperate entity? please provide all information in regards to the creation of this "Your MK" who is the CEO/Director (s) held by MK Council?
also how is this entity paid? and what tasks does this entity undertake?
What work/responsibilties has the council handed over to "Your MK"?
I am requesting/expect all information held by MKC in regards to this entity "Your MK"
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Wright
Dear Mrs Wright
Thanks for the additional questions.
The team of people who undertake those tasks including the repair and maintenance of tenants' homes don’t work for the council, they work for YourMK.
This link takes you to report of a Cabinet meeting from December 2015 when the decision to form YourMK was made, and explains the background you're asking for.
http://milton-keynes.cmis.uk.com/milton-...
In addition, details of YourMK's board and management can be found at https://yourmk.co.uk/about/corporate-inf... and the YourMK website gives a wider update on the regeneration programme being developed in Milton Keynes.
If there are points you'd like further details on please let me know.
Thank you,
Kellie Evans
