Dear K Martin,

Freedom of Information Request F17-261

Thank you for your request for information as copied below. You asked how
much it costs to process each claim made by a MP.

Further to our response to a previous request (our ref F17-219), you have
sent another request for what appears to be almost identical information.
Section 14 (2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) states that
“where a public authority has previously complied with a request for
information which was made by any person, it is not obliged to comply with
a subsequent identical or substantially similar request from that person
unless a reasonable interval has elapsed between compliance with the
previous request and the making of a current request.”

Therefore in accordance with s.14 (2) of the Freedom of Information Act
2000 your request is refused.  We are not obliged to comply with another
request which is identical or substantially similar.  Our response remains
unchanged, the information you require is not held by the House of
Commons.

In addition, I must inform you that any further requests for information
that you make to this department will be reviewed by officials on receipt,
and if we consider that section 14(2) applies we will not respond to them
or enter into any further correspondence with you on the request(s).

You may, if dissatisfied with the handling of your request, complain to
the House of Commons. Alternatively, if you are dissatisfied with the
outcome of your request you may ask the House of Commons to conduct an
internal review of any decision regarding your request. Complaints or
requests for internal review should be addressed to: Information Rights
and Information Security Service, Research and Information Team, House of
Commons, London SW1A 0AA or [1][House of Commons request email].  Please ensure
that you specify the full reasons for your complaint or internal review
along with any arguments or points that you wish to make.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may appeal to the Information Commissioner
at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF,
[2]www.ico.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely,

Lauren
