Thanks

Good Morning

Thank you for your email. Please find below the contents of the email
which was originally sent to you on 17^th April.

Dear Councillor Lewis

Thank you for your email.

Please find attached the tendered cost for the Ladies and Gents toilets on
the first floor of the Town Hall.  These are general toilets for public,
staff and member use – the “Members” signs dated back to when all the
Committee rooms were on the first floor.  Whilst the final account has to
be agreed with the contractor there have been no major changes to the
specification.  The costs of £9,406 for the ladies and £8,205 for the
gents were kept as low as possible by cleaning/re -finishing much of the
existing fabric.  The tiling was cheaper to over tile than repair.  It is
hoped to gradually re-furbish all the toilet areas on a similar basis,
given their condition, as cheaply as possible whilst complying with the
listed status of the building.  To differentiate between original and
later works, it was a requirement to tile the gents as close as possible
to the original, whilst the ladies is non original and therefore has more
modern tiling.
