Cost of maintaining and securing mothballed free school and other issues

The request was successful.

Dear Wokingham Borough Council

I was disappointed to hear that Floreat Silver Meadows did not open as expected in September 2018. I understand that Floreat has cancelled its funding agreement to allow you to find another sponsor to run the school.

I should be grateful if you could update me on the search for a new sponsor.

I should also be grateful if you could let me know:

1 The total amount of costs, if any, incurred by Wokingham Council towards the setting up of this school.
2 The total amount of funding, if any, allocated towards securing and maintaining the school (which I presume is mothballed).
3 The name of the freeholder.

Yours faithfully,

J Downs

Dear FOI Team,

I submitted a Freedom of Information request in early February asking for the cost to the Council of maintaining and securing the mothballed free school (Floreat Silver Meadow) and other issues.

Your response is now overdue. You should have responded by law within 20 working days.

I should be grateful if I could have a response by Thursday 14 March.

I hope I am not forced request an Internal Review. It wastes your time and mine.

Yours sincerely,

J Downs
