Thank you for your recent request for information which I have enclosed
below for ease of reference. Your request has been treated in accordance
with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and/or the
Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Your Request :  REQ10344

I can confirm that we do hold information that falls within the
scope of your request.

Original questions and answers.

I am requesting figures on how many people have received letters inviting
them to apply for the Cost-Of-Living Support Scheme & How many individuals
have received a payment for the Cost Of Living Support Scheme as of
14/07/2022.

​As at the 14/07/2022, 19,941 letters had been issued inviting individuals
to register to receive a cost of living payment, of these 6401 were
second/reminder letters.

As at the 14/07/2022, 42,218 cost of living payments had been made.

I am also requesting figures on how many individuals have received letters
inviting them to apply for the Discretionary Cost-of-Living Support Scheme
& How many individuals have received a payment for the Discretionary Cost
of Living Support Scheme as of 14/07/2022

​As at the 14/07/2022 the discretionary Cost of Living Scheme for Newport
was not approved so no letters had been issued.

 I hope this provides the information you were looking for; if there is
