Cost of legal fees and advice

The request was refused by Post Office Limited.

Dear Post Office Limited,Since 2000 can you say how much money Post Office has spent on legal fees and advice? Can you further say how much of this was spent on Horizon Prosecutions,CIT,JFSA issues, recusals and matters relating to the prosecution of SPM's?If you only hold data from 2012 can that be supplied although it seems unlikely that you can say how many people you prosecuted since 2000 but not know the sums involved

Yours faithfully,

john o'sullivan

Dear [email address],Thank you for a reply. Can we just limit the cots to actions involving the prosecution and defending the prosecutions of SPM.Given the Regulatory,Judicial and Journalistic interest in these events it is remarkable that no Senior Post Office Legal or Accounting Director felt that an ongoing accurate figure of legal costs was desireable or even necessary.Did BEIS never reqiure any figures for legal costs?

Yours sincerely,

john o'sullivan
