Cost of legal action in High Court and Appeal Court - PrEP case

NHS England holds some information relevant to your request. Please note
that NHS England was on the receiving end of this legal challenge not the
initiator of it.

 

The cost breakdown in relation to your request to date is outlined below.

 

The original judicial review hearing

 

·         NHS England Solicitors fees =  £21,504 including VAT

·         Counsels fees = £22,870.55 including VAT

·         Local Government Association (LGA) = £6,000

·         National Aids Trust (NAT) = £15,000

 

Court of Appeal costs

 

·         NHS England Solicitors fees =  £11,185 + VAT £2237

·         Counsels fees = £22,615 +VAT  £4,523

·         Copying Court Bundles =  £309.60 + VAT £61.92

·         Courier = £4.77 + VAT 0.95

·         Court Fee = £1,199

·         Travel = £192.50

 

Please note that NHS England is currently negotiating settlement of costs
for the Court of Appeal matter with NAT and LGA and this is not yet
