Dear Tim Bush,

Freedom of Information Request – FOI2023/00609

We are writing in response to your email received by Post Office Limited (“Post
Office
”) on 18 October, which has been dealt with under the terms of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”).

In your email you have requested the information shown in bold below:

An FOI request number IR2023/00434 was rejected on cost grounds in the
initial response to that request, despite a Parliamentary Committee having being
told that what I requested already existed as a 'specific piece of work'.

I request information regarding the cost to date of lawyers in dealing with this
case, including the cost of any third party lawyers.
”

We can confirm that Post Office does not hold the information you have requested.

We have interpreted the term “this case” in your request to mean the internal
review request received on 21 July 2023, reference IR2023/00434, and the original
FOI request received on 21 June 2023, reference FOI2023/00356.

No costs have been incurred to date by lawyers, including ‘third-party lawyers’, in
responding to either your initial Freedom of Information Act request FOI2023/00356
or your Internal Review IR2023/00434.
