Cost of highway works - estimated cost of installation of regulatory sign on new post

The request was refused by Westminster City Council.

Dear Westminster City Council,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - estimated cost of highway works

Please provide me with an estimated cost for Westminster City Council to erect a new warning or regulatory sign (such as a "no right turn sign" or a "proceed in direction indicated by arrow" sign) on a new post.

For example I know Wiltshire Council estimate between £225 and £390 dependant on the size of the particular sign as they publish costs on their website at the following URL:

http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/highways-wor...

As another example, I know that a new no right turn sign, diameter 450mm in 3mm aluminium, manufactured to BS EN 12899-1; 2007, can be purchased directly from one particular manufacturer for £28.00.

Yours faithfully,

Jon Vyse
