How are you playing [7]#yourpart to help us keep the Borders thriving?
Dear Alasdair Russell
Further to your request for information under the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002 relating to the above I am now able to respond.
The following response was prepared and provided on behalf of Regulatory
Services:
Number of Information Requests Received
Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with the figures for 2014, 2015
2016 and some of 2017 due to retention policies. To comply with retention
we do not keep requests which are over 3 years old. Therefore, we give
notice under s17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declaring some of the information you
require is not held. However, please see figures below for 2017, 2018,
2019 and 2020.
2017 = 333
2018 = 1406
2019 = 1329
2020 (as of 29^th October) = 832
Cost for the Council to Respond to Information Requests
Responding to information requests is part of staff roles and confirm that
there is no specific budget for responding to FOI and EIR. Therefore, the
answer is zero to all years requested.
I should advise that you have a right to request a review within 40
working days from the date we respond to your request. You should either
e-mail [1][email address] or write to the Information Manager,
Scottish Borders Council, Council HQ, Newtown St. Boswells TD6 0SA.
If after the Council’s FOI Advice Group have considered your review and
you are still not happy with the decision you then have a right to appeal
to the Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner, you do this either
by visiting [2]http://www.itspublicknowledge.info/Appeal or by post to:
Kinburn Castle, Doubledykes Road, St. Andrews, Fife KY16 9DS.
Yours sincerely
