Cost of eCare Programme and ministerial oversight
Dear Scottish Government,
Can you please provide me the following information on the Scottish Government eCare Programme:
1) How much has the eCare cost in public money (from its inception to Jan 2012)? This total should also include a break down of costs relating to Civil Servants, IT, contractors, terminating contracts etc
2) To see the contents of the Gateway Reviews; and any correspondence sent to Scottish Government ministers in the last seven years that specifically relate to the confidence in delivery of programme and options for termination of the programme.
3) Can you provide information as to the current status of the programme (i.e. still going, due to close etc?) and what will actually be left behind (e.g. live IT services) as a result of this investment.
Yours faithfully,
Adam Clements

Dear Scottish Government,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Scottish Government's handling of my FOI request 'Cost of eCare Programme and ministerial oversight'.
I received documents with key parts removed. Given the whole point of the request was to understand what ministerial oversight there has been (or not) I would like a second opinion as to whether removing these parts of the documents is justified. The documents relate to decisions made in the past (rather than policy things still being discussed that may affect free and frank discussion). It is the public interest to know how this huge sum of money was spent and/or wasted.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,
Adam Clements

eCare and associated policy initiatives are discussed on this forum thread: http://www.home-education.biz/forum/gene...
The Children and Young People Bill currently going through the Scottish Parliament makes provision for universal data sharing without consent and intrusive surveillance of every child and associated adult, along with the imposition of a Named Person (other than a parent) on every child. A petition to raise awareness among the 129 MSPs (who appear to have missed the fact that children are now all deemed to be 'at risk of failing to meet state dictated outcomes') has been created here: https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/m...
