Cost of assessment work

The request was successful.

Hi,

I looked at your reply to the FOI enquiry 2524 about the cost of the assessment work. The costs in the table look odd to me - down about 20% when your fte have pretty much doubled. Can you confirm if the numbers are right? If they are right, it would be really helpful to know if there is a simple reason for this. Thanks.

Jon Missenden

Dear UK Statistics Authority,

Any news on this? Wouldn't have expected it to take more than month to check if you got your spreadsheet the wrong way round.

Thanks

Hi Paul. Thanks for the reply. So the numbers in the reply to question 2524 were budgeted amounts rather than costs or expenditures as they were described?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the email.

I think you should do an internal review of how this was handled because it's clear looking at other requests that your organisation isn't doing what it should. I can see people waiting months to get copies of minutes or answers to simple questions like this one. I think this needs addressing.

However my last email asked you to confirm that the figures in the first response to 2524 were actual budget numbers as per your reply to me rather than costs or expenditure as they were originally described.

I know you're part of ONS. I usually find ONS pretty helpful compared to other government departments, but it is taking a long time to get a clear answer to this. I hope we can get a final answer to this now.

Cheers

Jon
