Correspondence with Worcester City Football Club/WCFC Supporters' Trust 15/8/16 - 20/02/17

The request was partially successful.

Dear Heart of Worcestershire College,

I would be grateful if you could supply me with copies of all correspondence between yourselves and Worcester City Football Club and/or Worcester City (FC) Supporters' Trust or persons authorised to correspond on their behalf such as directors or consultants.

The period I request the information from is between 15th August 2016 - 24th February 2017.

I am particularly interested in any correspondence/discussion/collaboration pertaining to:

i) any current or future sports facilities at Perdiswell Park (including any suggestion that HoW College might use facilities such as football pitches if a stadium were to be built there);

ii) any requests/discussion about HoW College or its staff supporting (in any way) an application to build a stadium on Perdiswell Park.

However, this request is not limited to just the aforementioned and any other correspondence between HoW College (or its staff/representatives) and Worcester City Football Club and/or Worcester City (FC) Supporters' Trust or persons authorised to correspond on their behalf should be included in this request.

I class correspondence as emails, written letter, meeting minutes and telephone conversations. For telephone conversations, a record of who the call was between, the duration of the call and the subject of the call would be sufficient. In the case of emails please include any attachments.

If the information I have requested exceeds the threshold for what is deemed to be 'reasonable assistance' in this matter, please communicate any costings involved in supplying the information requested in its entirety and suggest how my request may be modified to satisfy requirements.

Your assistance and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

S Hodges

With regard to the above request, we have made enquiries with all relevant
staff and can confirm that to the best of our knowledge there was no
correspondence/discussion/collaboration between any of our staff and
Worcester City Football Club and/or Worcester City (FC) Supporters' Trust
or persons authorised to correspond on their behalf such as directors or
consultants regarding either  i) any current or future sports facilities
at Perdiswell Park (including any suggestion that HoW College might use
facilities such as football pitches if a stadium were to be built there)
or ii) any requests/discussion about  HoW College or its staff supporting
(in any way) an application to build a stadium on Perdiswell Park within
the date range specified.

The only contact with WCFC in that period was in relation to the use of
the Heart of Worcestershire College parking facilities at Bromsgrove.

Kind regards

Dear Mr Littler,

Thank you for your prompt reply to my request for information.

Your response indicates that there was no discussion with WCFC/WC(FC)ST about Perdiswell Park within the date range specified. Could you clarify - from your enquiries with staff - whether you believe it is possible any discussions may have taken place either before or after that period?

I'd like to check this because the Worcester News reported on 1st March (online, print version 2nd March) that "It also emerged today that talks have been held over allowing the Heart of Worcestershire College and Tudor Grange Academy to use the 3G all-weather pitch, alongside the wider community. " (You can find the article here: <http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/1512...>.)

Would you be able to send any further details about the correspondence "in relation to the use of the Heart of Worcestershire College parking facilities at Bromsgrove"?

Thanks in advance for your help in this matter, I really appreciate it.

Yours sincerely,

S Hodges

We have checked all communications as requested in your follow up request
and can state the following:

HoW College has not had any discussions with Worcester City Council
regarding Worcester City Football club. We are aware they may have put a
planning application in for a site at Perdiswell. HOW college Football
Academy will be moving to Perdiswell Leisure centre in September 2017 and
we have had discussions since September 2016 with Worcester City council
to facilitate this.

The parking discussions were very basic - Nicki Williams (Vice
Principal),  met with Kevin Preece on 18 July 2016, to follow up an
article that had been published in the Worcester News that stated a deal
had been done with the Artrix to use their carpark for match day parking
in Bromsgrove. As Kevin was the person quoted in the article Nicki met
with him to explain that the parking facilities referred to belonged to
HoW College rather than the Artrix and to see when they would require the
use of our car parks. Nothing was agreed or promised by HoW College at
that meeting. A planned follow up meeting failed to take place when those
associated with Worcester City were unable to confirm their availability
to attend.
