We're waiting for Chris Barclay to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Electoral Commission,

I wish to apply for disclosure of all correspondence held between yourselves and representatives of either the national Green Party or the Brighton and Hove Green Party pertaining to declarations of campaign expenses by candidates and/or parties for the 2010 general election, including guidance sought and given prior to the election.

Additionally, I request that any disclosable records held pertaining to phone calls concerning the same please be provided.

Our response is as follows:
 
Please find attached copies of all correspondence as requested. Also
attached is a phone log showing relevant logged calls.
 
 
You will notice that we have redacted some information contained within
these documents. Section 40(2) provides for an exemption where the
information requested constitutes personal data as defined by the Data
Protection Act 2000 (DPA), and where release of the information requested
would breach one of the data protection principles. Some of the
information contained in the requested information falls within the
description of personal data as defined by section 1 of the DPA because
the information relates directly to an identifiable living individual.
 
 
I trust that this information satisfies your request. The Commission
strives to be an open, transparent authority, but in some circumstances we
cannot responsibly release requested information, and we ask for your
understanding in this regard.
