Dear Ms Cross

Freedom of Information ACT Request Reference No: 2011100531

Thank you for your request for information, received on 27 October 2011,
which falls under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We try to be as open as possible when answering requests but unfortunately
the amount of information you have requested is very substantial.
Gathering it together would be likely to involve a significant cost and
diversion of resource.

It seems likely that it will exceed the £600 limit that the Government
has set for dealing with Freedom of Information requests.

I would like to ask you therefore to try to narrow down your request to
focus more clearly on the exact information you want. You could consider
the following options:

·          be more specific about the time period covered by your request

·          explain more about the information you are looking for

·          browse the information already available on the HSE website
[1]www.hse.gov.uk to help you refine your request

If you are unable or unwilling to narrow down or clarify your request we
will continue to deal with it according to the Act but we may have to
charge a fee or refuse the request altogether.

Please note that if I haven't heard from you within three months from the
date of this letter, then I will consider your request closed.

If you wish to discuss any of the above, please contact me. Please
remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.

Yours sincerely

Dear Health and Safety Executive,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Health and Safety Executive's handling of my FOI request 'Correspondence with BP - last 2 years'.

I provided the necessary clarification on 1 November 2011 but I am yet to receive any substantive response. This request has now exceeded the legal time limit for a response as set out in section 10 of the act.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,

Helen
The reports you have received from BP PROVE WITHOUT doubt that BP have given lip service ref health and safety issues for their onshore and offshore facilities.
