Dear Andrew Pelling

Request FOI/10361

Further to your request received on 31/07/2024, I confirm that the Council
has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000. Specifically, you have requested the following information:

"Please provide correspondence received by the Mayor from the Deputy Prime
Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local
Government in July 2024."

This information is not held.

In July 2024, Mayor Perry wrote to the department concerning the
appointment of Angela Rayner MP as the new Deputy Prime Minister and
Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

However, a response did not come from Angela Rayner MP as the new Deputy
Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local
Government, a response came from Jim McMahon MP, the Minister of State for
Local Government and English Devolution, who affirmed the government's
commitment to resetting the relationship between local and regional
government.

Thus we do not hold correspondence from the Deputy PM as requested.

The Council publishes Access to Information requests and responses on its
online Disclosure Log. (Any request included within this log will be
anonymised appropriately)
