Yu, Robin: CP-ICT: RBKC, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

Dear Ms. Robinson

To enable the council to answer your request, we ask that you provide us
with further information to be able to identify and locate the information
requested.

Section 1(3) of the FOI Act states:

1.—(3)Where a public authority—

(a) reasonably requires further information in order to identify and
locate the information requested, and

(b) has informed the applicant of that requirement,

the authority is not obliged to comply with subsection (1) unless it is
supplied with that further information.

Subsection (1) is right to be informed whether a public authority holds
the information requested and if that is the case, to have that
information communicated.

The council do not have a council wide correspondence system, document
management system or a way to electronically search for the information.
Every department within the council will have their own way of recording
and storing information, so a search for information cannot be conducted
centrally. Each department and officer who holds information in relation
to your request will be required to conduct searches.

You will need to narrow down your request substantially for us identify
and locate the information you require. For a start it will help if you
could be more specific about the subject of the correspondence in
question. You will also need to more specific about which officers,
departments or councillors you are referring to in your request.

Please note that your request is on hold until the above clarification is
provided. Please contact me if you require any assistance.

Yours sincerely

Robin Yu
