Correspondence regarding Children's Commissoner submission on family immigration rules

Home Office did not have the information requested.

Dear Home Office,

The following letter has came to my attention that was sent to Mark Harper by Maggie Atkinson - The Childrens Commissioner for England: http://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/...

Within the content of the letter, the Children's Commissioner outlines that "I remain gravely concerned that the Family Migration Rules as currently written and applied fail to fulfil the UK's obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly those flowing from the rights under Articles 3 (best interests), 5 (parental guidance), 9 (right not to be separated from parents other than in child's best interests), 10 (family reunification) and 18 (parental responsibilities: state assistance)."

I am aware (as outlined in the letter) that this letter was sent to Mark Harper on the 13th August 2013. To date there has been no response to this letter, that I am aware of. I would appreciate a copy of all internal correspondance in regards to this letter.

I would also appreciate information you hold in relation to this letter, in the form of a response, or otherwise.

Yours faithfully,

S Green
