I am writing to request an internal review of North East London Integrated Care Partnership's handling of my FOI request 'Correspondence re media enquiries and FOIs'.
There is clearly a significant public interest in transparency around the way that an authority handles enquiries submitted by the media.
Engagement with the media clearly falls with the remit of "activities and areas of operation" of the authority.
The ICB's response simply asserts there is limited public interest in the request without showing a weighted consideration of what the public interest may be.
It is not for the authority to decide what concerns the person requesting may have about the way that it is dealing with requests, either through FOI or media enquiries to the communications team.
Any refusal on the grounds of burden should show an attempt to estimate the length of time it might take to consider such a response.
Please also clarify the meaning and relevance of this statement "The history of your previous requests denotes that it is likely you wil continue to make wide and varied requests to the ICB in the future. The anticipated burden of dealing with these requests has also been taken into account."
