Correspondence between Home Office officials and MAC relating to family migration review

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Home Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Home Office,

Please consider the following as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please note, I would like this request to be handled by the Home Office, rather than by the Migration Advisory Committee - an earlier version of this request was answered in error by the Migration Advisory Committee, despite being addressed directly to the Home Office (see here: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...).

The November 2011 report by the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) into proposed changes to the UK spouse visa system [available here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk... ] notes that Glyn Williams acted as the Home Office's representative on the committee during research into introducing a Minimum Income Requirement.

I am requesting the release of correspondence between Glyn Williams and the following individuals, for the period between 01/06/2011 and 31/11/2011:

- Professor Sir David Metcalfe OBE
- Mark Franks (head of the MAC Secretariat)
- Mark Spilsbury

Yours faithfully,

Mary Atkinson
