Correspondence between BIS and Paula Vennells
Dear Post Office Limited,
Please provide me with all the correspondence between BIS and Ms Paula Vennells, MD of Post Office Ltd between 1/6/2013 to 31/12/2013
You will of course be aware that this is a similar request to one made directly to BEIS which has attracted press and parliamentary attention due to the request being turned down by BEIS on cost grounds. I would hope that POL have much better and cheaper data retrieval mechanisms than BEIS and can supply me with the information I require.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Williams

Dear Information Rights Team,
Thank you for your update. You will no doubt be aware that BEIS, in reply to the very same request did not consider the public interest test, only the cost of meeting it. I will assume from your reply that you have extracted all the relevant communications I requested within the cost budget for such a request and that as a result of having read those communications you feel that there are sections that may not be disclosed due to the public interest provisions of the FOI Act.
It might assist you in your deliberations of whether or not to publish these documents to consider the possibility that a source in POL has already provided some of these to me and my request to you under the FOI Act is merely to be able to disclose the contents to the public. If that was the case then you might also assume that any redactions you care to make to the documents will focus my attention on those sections and the rationale behind non disclosure.
Yours sincerely,
Tony Williams
