meetings between yourselves and Shropshire Council regarding the proposed
Northwest Relief Road in Shrewsbury for the period May 2023 to April
2024.  I understand that sensitive information regarding the location and
details of your public water supply assets will need to be redacted for
security reasons. 

Severn Trent hold no copies of direct correspondence or minutes with
Shropshire Council, regarding this topic as we were not directly engaged
by the Council.

Dear Mike,

On the 13/6 we notified that due to complexity of the request we would
need to extend the response date in line with the regulations (Regulation
7(1)(3)) . We are still working through your response and will respond
within the deadline no later 11/7.

The Regulations provide for a review only once the original request has
been answered, and in the event that you feel we have failed to comply
fully with your request (Regulation 11).   As we are still in the process
of providing the answer to your request, there is no opportunity for an
internal review at this time.

Thank you for providing clarity on your initial information request. Your
request is being considered as a request under the Environmental
Information Regulations 2004 (“Regulations”).

We understand you want access to the meetings and correspondence between
Severn Trent Water and Shropshire Council about the Northwest Relief Road
planning application from the past three years.

We are grateful for your patience while we conducted the necessary due
diligence to redact personal data in line with GDPR legislation. We have
undertaken a detailed search and can confirm that we are able to disclose
all the emails within the scope of your request (as attached) between
Severn Trent Water representatives and Shropshire council.

Please note that whilst we are in possession of a various reports provided
by WSP, we will not be disclosing them because they are exempt under EIR
Regulation 12(5)(f). The reasons for relying on this exemption are that
Shropshire Council have not given us permission to disclose the reports
that were voluntarily provided to us and disclosing them would adversely
impact the interests of Shropshire Council. Furthermore, our view is that
the public interest in maintaining the exception outweighs the public
interest in disclosing the reports.
