Thank you for your help.
Dear Nicola Pomroy,
Thank you for your submitted request of 11th July 2023 where you requested
information about procurement and contract types.
The information you requested is enclosed below.
Q1. What type of maintenance management model does your organisation use?
E.g. Managed supply-chain, single hard-fm, single soft-fm, internal
workforce, principle contractor etc.
A1. The Council utilises a service solution that is made up of all of the
above dependant on which property it relates to.
Q2. Can you provide a list of approved contractors used?
Q2. The Council utilise numerous local and national contractors dependant
on the nature of the work being undertaken and does not work to an
'approved list' as such. Often the nature of the work, its scale and
likely cost will determine the contractor used as oppose to a pre-defined
list of suppliers.
Q3. What are the total values of contracts granted?
A3. The Council issues numerous contracts and these details can be viewed
on the Council's website under is obligations around transparency in the
manner in which it undertakes and awards works. Small works will not be
issued under a formal contract but will be required to adhere to the
Council's standard terms and conditions.
Q4. When do these contracts expire?
A4. Again, the council issues numerous contracts, is there a specific
contract you are referring to? All contract details are available on the
Council's website.
Q5. What services are provided in each contract?
A5. Again this detail is available on the Councils website to be reviewed.
Q6. What procurement method was used?
A6. The Council utilises a variety of procurement methods dependant on the
specifics of the work or services being obtained. Written quotations, full
tender exercises and the use of existing frameworks have and continue to
be utilised. Again if there is a specific contract you have in mind then I
can answer this question more fully.
